This database of 358 wells provides not only a high quality set of salinity and water gradients, but also the input data used in their derivation. The raw data has been filtered in stages and corrected for subsurface pressure and temperature.

This data will prove invaluable for:

• calculation of water resistivity (Rw) for hydrocarbon saturation analysis
• aiding the understanding of vertical and lateral fluid flow
• understanding the role of overpressure in generating conduits to migration by fracturing
